Woody Guthrie, The Washington Post, and Spotify Shadiness

Dear Post Ombudsman:

So I'm reading a Post story about Woody Guthrie. Great guy. I'm enjoying the story.

There's a graphic in the story that appears to be a series of links to some of Woody's songs. I click on one of my favorites, "Roll On Columbia."

Who! It's not a song link. It's a link to something called Spotify. I grudgingly download their application, at which point I am told I have selected Spotify  chosen to pay $9.95 a month to them for a premium plan of some sort.

No I haven't. I don't want their premium plan.

I don't want Spotify.

I want to hear Roll On Columbia and maybe some other Woody Guthrie songs.

Why are you pulling this crap on your readers?

STOP IT!
