We’re Not the Only Ones Losing Our Home; the Mayor of Bradenton is Losing His, Too
“Bradenton Mayor Wayne Poston and his wife, Patricia, have joined a growing list of prominent politicians and their families to be stung by the aftermath of the real estate boom and have defaulted on loans.
“Poston, who bought a four-bedroom house at Manatee County’s GreyHawk Landing for $427,000 in August 2005, acknowledged that he had transferred the house to Bank of America in September through a deed in lieu of foreclosure.”

The economy in this part of Florida is totally in the toilet. Please note that I’m giving up my home because I lost my job. Mayor Poston still has his. (sigh)

So many are losing their jobs these days. A year ago, I had 3 jobs and was making a good paycheck. These days, I’ve lost two outright and had to take a pay cut (and hour increase!) at the third. I can only hope that the economy fixes itself soon. I want to work, I’m willing and able to work. Not being able to is frustrating.
